Meet the Team: Juan Cervantes

A strong landscape company needs leadership in the field, not just in the office. At Antonucci Lawn & Garden, Juan Cervantes plays a major role in that every day as our Operations Manager. Juan joined the company in 2011 and worked his way up from an entry-level role into leadership. That matters, because his perspective was built from real experience in the work itself. He understands what it takes to keep crews moving, solve jobsite problems, and maintain standards across maintenance, irrigation, and construction.

He also holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Management from Western Nevada College, which adds another layer to the way he approaches operations, growth, and team leadership. Over the years, Juan has helped grow the maintenance division and is now focused on improving construction operations and making the company stronger across the board.

On a day-to-day level, Juan’s role centers on field operations. He helps manage schedules, support crews, solve problems as they come up, and keep work moving efficiently. He also puts real value on helping employees grow, take ownership, and take pride in the work they do. That kind of leadership matters, especially in a business where the quality of the finished product depends on the consistency of the people carrying it out.

When asked what “done right” means, Juan’s answer was clear: quality work the team can stand behind, work that will last, and work that leaves the client completely satisfied. That says a lot about how he approaches his role. The focus is not just getting through the day. It is making sure the work holds up and reflects well on the company when the job is done.

He also pointed to one of the biggest causes of rework: breakdowns between client communication and execution in the field. That is why he puts so much value on clear communication during each phase of the project. In his role, good communication means keeping the client informed, keeping the team aligned, and making sure the work matches the expectation.
